The clips they used to hang the clothes left large & visible wrinkles, so no point in dropping it off for ironing in the first place.

If you need a reliable tailor with good service, suggest you look someplace else. Online appointment booking is unreliable. I was stood up despite the reply (Boss was actually not even in SG though a confirmation note was emailed back to me). Then, the boss M was more than an hour late for my measuring appointment at Marina Square. Even when she arrived, she was chatting outside the shop. After spending an hour with measuring, we agreed on collection date, a month later which was then stated on the receipt. After due date, no call, and when I called to ask when I could collect, M told me she hasn’t even started work on my item! Incredible!!! After I said I would take my business elsewhere, M assured that it would be ready in a week. But no, found out that she hasn’t even worked on it (again!). Gave lame excuses about having changed her HP. After 3 wasted trips and more than 5 weeks of supposed tailoring time, nothing received despite written & verbal promises. I should have checked past reviews of May Tailor. (I had no choice but to give at least a star, for this to be posted).

I booked my appt a week ago for tailoring and I received a confirmation email of the appt. On the day of the appt, I arrived at the shop on time but the shop assistant was not aware of my appt and asked me to contact the boss directly myself. I called and nobody picked up. There was no call back from the boss as well. Unprofessional and a waste of my time.

I’d give negative stars if it were possible. Complete disregard for the customer’s time. I had an appointment booked for the Joo Chiat shop - arrived on time and waited for over 30minutes for someone to come and check-in. Never happened. Tried multiple times to call May - no response. Never going back and definitely discouraging all my friends from going here as well.

Laundry service is terrible. Doesn’t even want to call you if your items are ready and instead ask you to call to check. Service also very expensive. Don’t know why they can last so long as a business

Highly recommend - if you are looking for craftsmanship. Pleas rethink - if you value cost, service and your time. As seen in other reviews, there is no commitment to customer service or time. Upon booking I had asked for a price range and was quoted around $10 to $15 for a simple work. When visiting, I had request for a simple alteration. When I tried on, the alteration got overwhelming with loads of recommendation and pins. At the point cost was not discussed. In the end I had to pay as much as what I had paid for the item. Spending good money on advanced payment, yet asked via message if it is ready, but no reply. Asked via phone if it is ready, asked to send message. Not worth the price even if the work is good. Does not aligned to customer needs, take payment for their service, yet does not deliver the service as promised on time. Disappointing.

Sent two items for alterations. Was not trash by the scheduled time for pick up. The next day I was asked again to be re-measured. I kindly asked to please inform me when ready so that i don’t have to make unnecessary trips and waste time waiting. Next day, which was Day-2 before my departure I was hoping to finally collect my dress which was said to be done (again no call/text to inform readiness), it didn’t fit and I could barely breathe. I was told it could be redone immediately and should be ready for collection in 90 mins.. I waited for another 30mins, and got my silk dress that’s badly done, and mishandled- i could see silk threads being pulled etc. I tried not to speak as I was angry and utterly frustrated. They charged $40 instead of $60 as a good will and apologies the that they are just too busy these two weeks. Long in short, I agreed with some of the reviews here that if you value time and craftsmanship, look somewhere else.

Absolutely terrible service,rude staff no especially Rose who is at the Lucky Plaza branch. I have in my jumpsuit for a length alteration and it came back much shorter than what I confirmed when I was getting my fitting done. They are very expensive,I paid over $45 just to take the length up. When I stated that the length was shorter Rose,the lady at the branch rudely told me to leave as there was nothing that could be done. She embarrassed me in front of other customers and told me to go somewhere else. I have been more than polite despite getting an outfit back that was tailored much smaller. I urge you to go elsewhere. They are arrogant,rude and most of the branches have no numbers. The head office are equally lazy and don’t even answer the phone. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THEY ARE RUDE and ARROGANT.

Personally had a great experience with Mays tailor for the past 2 years, sent many dresses to them (lucky plaza outlet)for alterations and they always come back perfect . Naturally I’d recommend them to anyone who requires alteration , including my husband. But Rose (the lady at the receptionist) did such a sloppy job pinning the clothes that May had to stepped in. Calls promised were not delivered, had to call them on the date of collection and apparently uniform was still not ready. That was okay given Cny May be a busy period for them. My husband went down to collect his uniform yesterday but apparently many excuses were given as to why the uniform was not altered the way he instructed them to be. Saw the uniform, at home and I was embarrassed and disappointed that the workmanship was so terrible. It was just a uniform, surely not that hard to screw up. Not sure if it was because we were using the entertainer app but the quality of work and service provided was appalling. I will not be recommending this place anymore, please don’t waste your money here. Really disappointing guys.

It’s my first time trying this tailor and I visited the Lucky Plaza branch. Store manager was not very attentive. Promised that collection was possible the next day but when I arrived they weren’t ready. She asked me to wait 2 more hours and was quick to brush me off (there were other more interesting customers I suppose). I did manage to collect my clothes the same day after all that. Workmanship is satisfactory but service wasn’t impressive at all. :/
