KOI Thé at Funan Mall represents the continuation of a beloved bubble tea legacy that began in Taiwan and expanded to Singapore in 2007, establishing itself as one of the island's most recognizable milk tea brands. In 2015, the brand officially adopted the name "KOI Thé" to emphasize its dedication to tea culture and quality, reflecting founder Ms. Khloé Ma's vision of nurturing authentic tea appreciation. Located within Funan's vibrant food court area, this outlet serves as a testament to KOI's commitment to using premium ingredients and maintaining consistent quality standards that have made it synonymous with exceptional bubble tea experiences across Singapore and the region.
The menu showcases KOI's signature milk tea creations, featuring the iconic Signature KOI Milk Tea made with classic Assam black tea as a base, enhanced with velvety creamer and the brand's distinctive golden bubbles that create a uniquely satisfying texture. Popular offerings include the rich Oolong Milk Tea combined with condensed milk for perfect creaminess, Green Milk Tea for those preferring lighter flavors, and the distinctive Ovaltine Macchiato that exudes malty aromas balanced with intense roasted notes. The golden bubbles, meticulously prepared from natural ingredients, provide the signature chewy texture that almost bounces between teeth, elevating each drink beyond ordinary bubble tea experiences.
The KOI Thé experience at Funan combines the convenience of mall dining with the authentic tea culture that defines the brand, where customers can customize their drinks according to personal preferences while enjoying consistently smooth tea blends and premium toppings. The brand's focus on quality ingredients and signature heart-warming hospitality creates memorable experiences that have cultivated a loyal following among tea enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. Whether seeking a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up or a satisfying accompaniment to mall dining, KOI Thé at Funan provides the perfect balance of authentic tea flavors, innovative preparation methods, and the distinctive golden bubbles that have become synonymous with premium bubble tea experiences in Singapore.
While the ordering process was smooth, I experienced a long wait for my drink. I noticed it was ready and labeled at the counter but was not handed to me. Instead, staff served other customers and left my drink unattended. I had to retrieve it myself.
I hope the staff can improve multitasking and prioritize tasks effectively to enhance customer service.

Visited the outlet at Funan and was a little disappointed. Despite having 4 staffs, the service was slow and i waited > 30 minutes. On top of that, I noticed one of the staff handling toppings had very long, unkempt hair that was covering his face. It didn’t look hygienic at all, and I was genuinely concerned about the possibility of hair falling into the drinks. Not sure what the hygiene standards are, but this didn’t seem up to mark.

Picked the top 1 golden bubble milk tea 25% sugar and less ice. Not strong tea flavour but was ok.

As a returning short-term visitor to Singapore, I’ve used my UK Santander card here for years without issue. On the evening of 13 April, I was told that Visa cards are not accepted, and in the moment, I mistakenly thought mine was a Visa (it had just been renewed and I forgot it’s now a Mastercard). The staff sounded very certain, so I didn’t insist and had to find a makeshift way to pay. Later, I checked and it seems highly likely my card would have worked. The experience felt unnecessarily rigid and left me with a rather cold impression, which was disappointing.

Order the matcha latte. Told the staff sugar level 50% but the drink doesn’t taste sweet. It taste like no sugar tea. Don’t recommend drinking matcha latte from koi and will never order and come again. The drink taste disgusting.

Finally, a koi outlet in Funan. It’s a pretty new store. Located at B2. No space for waiting area and no self-service kiosks.

Bought two cups of bubble tea yesterday, brought it home without checking and found that the bobas were missing on both cups! Paid a dollar each for the bobas! Must I really check now that each time I buy from Koi?

Ordered a Taro Q Oolong Milk Tea no ice no sugar. Middle of the road tasting. Tea was there but not super prominent. Very generous serving of the Taro Q balls. Quenches a thirst.

Not bad! I would prefer milk tea with more tea than milk. This type is more milk than tea.
