Three Fellas Claypot at Funan Mall brings the soulful tradition of Chinese claypot cooking to Singapore's diverse dining scene through authentic preparation methods that showcase the slow-burn artistry of this time-honored culinary technique. Claypot cuisine represents one of China's most cherished cooking traditions, where earthy clay vessels cradle fragrant rice, tender meats, and rich broths over gentle heat that allows flavors to meld into deeply comforting meals that embody both humility and culinary sophistication. This traditional cooking method, dating back thousands of years, creates distinctive textures and flavors impossible to achieve through conventional cooking techniques, particularly the coveted "guo ba" - the charred rice crust that forms at the bottom of the pot and provides a textural contrast beloved by claypot cuisine enthusiasts.
The restaurant's approach to claypot preparation emphasizes traditional techniques including careful fire management, precise timing, and quality ingredients that create the authentic flavors and textures that define exceptional claypot cuisine. Traditional claypot rice typically features combinations of presoaked rice finished with chicken, Chinese sausage, vegetables, and dried salted fish, served with thick, sweetened dark sauce that enhances the natural flavors developed during the cooking process. The gentle heat from clay vessels intensifies ingredient flavors while creating the distinctive smoky, charred notes that make claypot cuisine particularly satisfying and memorable for diners seeking authentic Chinese comfort food experiences.
Three Fellas Claypot's presence in Funan Mall provides convenient access to this traditional cooking style for Singapore's diverse community, many of whom have cultural connections to claypot cuisine through family traditions or travel experiences throughout China and Southeast Asia. The restaurant's commitment to authentic preparation methods ensures diners experience genuine claypot flavors rather than simplified adaptations, making each meal a connection to centuries of Chinese culinary heritage. Whether seeking nostalgic comfort foods, introducing newcomers to traditional Chinese cuisine, or simply enjoying the unique flavors and textures that only claypot cooking can provide, Three Fellas Claypot delivers authentic culinary experiences that celebrate the patience, skill, and cultural wisdom embedded in this distinctive cooking tradition that continues to comfort and nourish diners throughout Singapore's multicultural dining landscape.

Unfortunately, they forgot the fish! It tasted okay, but a bit bland. A decent portion. If they don't forget anything, you'll be fine eating here.

Three Fellas Claypot (Puna Food Court): A Delicious Claypot Chicken Experience (4/5 Stars) Rating: • Food Quality: 4/5 (Tender and flavorful chicken with a perfectly balanced ginger flavor, though a little more wine would have been nice) • Service: 4/5 (Friendly and helpful stall owner, happy to recommend dishes) Overall: 4/5 Donkey & I were at Puna Food Court for lunch, and I decided to try Three Fellas Claypot, while Donkey went for some Indonesian cuisine. I ordered the 瓦煲三杯鸡 ( Claypot Chicken with Ginger & Wine), which was recommended by the stall owner. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the ginger was perfectly balanced. We wished there was a little more wine, but overall, the dish was still satisfying. We both had a great meal and enjoyed our lunch at Three Fellas Claypot. The service was friendly, and the dish recommended by the owner was nice.
