This eatery at Funan’s basement serves local delights such as Chicken rice set (came with a good amount of chicken), & Chicken curry noodles! There are even sets that came with chicken rice balls. IG @pingguo301

The coffee shop serves chicken rice, which is interestingly offered the rice balls that look quite appealing. Will definitely try those next time. The kaya toast is actually quite good. It’s creamy and has enough butter that blends well with the kaya. The coconut coffee raffles signature has a nice coconut aroma and is less sweet, which is just right. The yinyang coffee is a bit sweet because they use condensed milk. Overall, it’s a good place for a meal in the Funan basement. The prices are reasonable.

Overall dining experience is nice. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Amazed by the love shaped toast , the toast are yummy and we can’t resist to order twice. Drinks are standard and expected taste, satisfy with it. Steamed chicken rice was good and nice too. Lemon flavoured chicken chop rice is abit dry and tough.

At Raffles Coffee and Toast in Funan, the fare is simply delightful! The chicken rice is moist and flavorful, while the curry noodles is rich and satisfying. Their signature kaya toast offers a perfect balance of sweet and savory. A cozy spot for classic Singaporean dishes!

Similar concept to Yakun and toast box for breakfast. Ordered the signature traditional breakfast set at only $5.50. A decent breakfast set with good local coffee, Kaya and butter toast, and two soft boiled eggs. I love the humour of the staff and extra effort for my heart shape toast. Note that this is Sing Swee Kee outlet so the Signature should be Hainanese chicken Rice. Would come back and try it sometime. Shop is spacious, clean and pleasant for an enjoyable morning breakfast.

One of the very few places in SG that sell chicken rice balls. Coffee, tea and chicken rice are all on point 💯👍🏼 Conveniently located at Basement 2 of Funan, just a short walk from City Hall MRT via underground link.

Ordered curry chicken noodle $6.50 n Raffles Signature $3.80. Steamed chicken is v tender n slips off d bones. Noodles r overcooked. Order kueh teow better. Curry is d v lemak type. Raffles Signature is tasteless if less sweet is opted. They use UFC Velvet Coconut milk so it's flavourful only if one opts for normal. Service recovery is very good 👍🏼 I m impressed. Will be back again. Oh, cushion seats r too low for ladies to sit on. Tables are not wiped after customers left - dirty tables n many stains.

This place is a combination of toast box and yakun. They have hot food and the usual egg and toast set. Their teh is comparable to ya kun. Their curry Noodle is tastier than toast box. Their curry chicken, the chicken is from the original sing swee kee outlet. So is cooked to perfection. No smelly frozen smell and no tough meat. The curry gravy is super thick and spicy. Not suitable for those weak stomach. They only have chicken related hot food like rice and, noodle I had both the curry Noodle and a breakfast set at 9am. The toast was crunchy and don't taste burnt. The Kaya spread looks scary because too green but was nice. It was spread evenly. But the wait is quite terrible. I was the 3rd customer but I wanted for about a good 15mins. Teh and eggs was served first. They open up the egg similar to yakun but their egg yolk was cold in the inside. The egg was cook to perfection. The noodle came first so I eat egg with my noodle? Lol bread and egg must come together. By the time my toast came, the egg was totally cold. The serving time lose out to both yakun ans toast box. They have about 6 people at the back. Guess is a new store and still trying to understand the terrain and the people are new so I shall not comment much. Let's wait for a few more months for them to settle down. I would definitely go back for their breakfast. This is a plus point for me over the other two usual breakfast joint that dominance in funan mall. Now we have 3 breakfast joints (egg and bread toast joint, they are other breakfast in funan such as macky and bollyfood). I work around funan and have queued for both yakun and toast box every weekday morning and is no joke.

I had an unpleasant dining experience today. The cashier, who was not local and struggled to understand English, made several errors with my order. I clearly ordered two chicken rice sets, but only one was entered into the system. Instead, he included a $5 vegetable side dish that I did not order at all. What I had said was that I didn’t want sauce in the vegetable serving that originally came with the set — not that I wanted to add an extra vegetable dish. This omission mistake caused my first order to fall below $20, meaning I couldn’t claim my capland loyalty points even though I paid $22.50 in two separate receipts, the other one was for the missing set. On top of that, the cashier placed the toast order slip directly underneath my peanut butter toast, which is highly unhygienic — I ended up eating off receipt paper, which should never happen. Overall, the poor communication and service affected both the meal and the dining experience. I hope management will take steps to improve staff training, order accuracy, and hygiene standards.
