Kitchen Assistant

Job Discription:

Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing.

cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit and vegetables,

Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.

Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the

Cook's instructions.

Stir and heating soups and sauces as well.

Storing and organizing food supplies

Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic at all times

Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or area.

Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.

Coordinating with the kitchen staff.

Ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.

Recording any food wastages in the kitchen.

Maintaining the kitchen equipment.

Keeping the kitchen clean and organised according to food safety protocols.

Handling and processing raw food ingredients.

Assisting kitchen crew with basic cooking functions such as slicing and boiling food

Prepare fish and seafood for cooking

Requirement:

• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Positive working attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to work on weekends, public holidays
• At least 1 year experience required.
