Menu has changed totally. Prices seem to have doubled. Difficult to find fish-only options as d majority consist of prawns. Ordered this grouper fish head soup.$15.80. Had to +$1.50 for thick bee hoon. d portion of thick bee hoon is miserable. Still serve in d same old big bowl for soup is barely 2/3 - 1/3 of d fish is above soup level. At d price of $17.30 for my lunch, this level of soup is not acceptable. Soup is seafood soup, not fish soup - this means I still cannot avoid d prawns?? There r 3 huge chunks/blocks of meat paste compared to 1 pcs in d past - this also means they reduced 2 pcs of fish? I came for d fish, not these weird chunks. O veg in d bowl except for 2 wedges of tomato with thick skin. This meal is not balanced. With this price tag, I have many options available hence there's a low chance to return.
I up d service * as d staff who took my order waited patiently for me to go through d menu n d other staff who handed me my order gave me sufficient chilli padi that I asked for, when others were usually quite stingy.

Tioman fish with extra cabbage. Fresh thin slices of fish, thick broth n strong aroma. My 2nd time eating this. Love it :)

The service staff was nice but the stall should be more apparent as to whether patrons should order or get seats first. Sometimes we were told to wait for seats but when we wait for seats and people order first, we would get pushed back and the table we were waiting for has to be given to them. Then we have to rewait for seats which may take long because everyone else just sat down. This is disruptive especially during weekday lunchtimes.
Kudos to the staff who were trying to help us find seats tho, but the shope should consider giving out instructions more clearly.

Not my first time eating here, and they have been very consistent.
Fresh ingredients with very thick & sweet broth, each bowl has approx 6-7 fish slices, 2 prawns with meatballs.
Take note of the peak hours waiting time: approx 20 mins for 7 bowls ahead of me

Each bowl of the Milkfish Belly porridge is a bowl of perfection. The fish taste fresh and super tender. The porridge is flavourful. The chili accompaniment is superb and works well with the fish to enhance the flavor. Highly recommended!

Very pricey for their menu. A $16 seafood soup with less than half bowl of soup. And when I asked for more soup when I collected my order, server said added soup will be plain soup.

Shaw plaza Pomfret Soup is only $8 compared to YanJi at Funan or any market.
