It's not bad, may come again. BTW this review isn't to get free dessert, so trust that it's a fair assessment. Low atmosphere score as the tables are too close together! Could hear the next table discussing a deal.
Treat from a friend, so chose the chef's choice. Added a lamb chop each, a plate of prawns, and two bowl of vegs. So the bill is larger than standard. Standard I would say is under 30, the larger chef's choice is 22.90, drinks not included. There are also super saver meals, which are mainly ramen. And you came to a yakiniku restaurant for ramen?
The chef's choice full steak, was steak, beef tongue, and beef karubi. In my opinion, the steak was nice and fat, but fairly standard. The tongue was a tad chewy, but that could be me overcooking it. The best was the karubi. So overall a nice trio of meats. The lamb was good, lightly marinated. The prawns were a tad powdery.
I personally prefer a yakiniku buffet. Having this selection gave a taste of different cuts and meats, just no seconds!

The overall dining experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant provided absolutely no services. Staff were either inattentive or completely absent, making it impossible to get assistance when needed. As for the food, it was a complete disaster. Poorly prepared, saluted and oily, and far from what was expected. Given the subpar quality and the frustrating experience, this place is simply not worth your time, money, or calories. Avoid it at all costs.

Food has alot of variety. And it was yummy. The portion may look small but it was pretty filling. However staff could me more trained.

I was really hungry and saw that the place was empty especially during the dinner rush. I ended up having the cooked beef bowl and I want to say that it was just average. The beef marinate was so so so so very salty but thankfully the rice was perfectly cooked. Not sure why the staff lady still switched on the grill for me before my food came, it’ll be good if you could double check the table’s order before you do that? Sat there in silence feeling the warmth of the grill awaiting to see if the staff would notice but unfortunately they didn’t till I finished my meal and got up to pay. I think they’re understaffed but it doesn’t feel nice when you’re at the counter and ready to make payment and kept getting interrupted. The lady still asked me how was the food and when I responded saying it’s salty she didn’t even acknowledge it. $16 for a bowl of beef and rice at a place like this isn’t worth it at all. The menu isn’t as interesting and not much options for side dishes I believe it can be improved. unless there was no other choice, I wouldn’t come back here.

Tried Yakiniku Shokudo at Funan, service was friendly and efficient, especially appreciated the halal options. The meat was decent, the portion is decent for the price. Overall a good spot for casual yakiniku in town.

Good budget meal especially for the quality of the meat. You can easily get 3 different cuts of beef for under $25. Marinades tasted nice and not overly salty.

Yakiniku Shokudo offers a satisfying dining experience with tasty grilled meats and a cozy atmosphere. The food quality is great, and everything was well-prepared and flavorful.
One area that could use improvement is the waiting time between ordering and being served. We had ordered the rice set. While it wasn’t too long, a bit more efficiency in the kitchen would make the experience even better—especially during busy hours.
Overall, a solid spot for yakiniku, and I’d be happy to come back again!
