I went to make payment at the cashier counter and it took a while for the staff to notice me. She seemed to be occupied with something behind the counter, and I could sense some slight annoyance from her like as though I had disrupted her. After making payment, I thanked her. But all she did was to stare blankly at me. She did not even say a basic “thank you” as she handed the receipt to me. Is that how she treats all paying customers? When I walked past the shop again, I took a quick glance to see if she was taking stock or doing something else behind the counter. It turned out that she was watching a show on her phone?!
