This is a blend of self-serve and having being waited on. You sit down, they hand you a clipboard with a QR code and that’s it. The QR code links you to a site for you to order your food (you pay when you leave the place).
Food was good but I felt it lacked a depth of flavor. Staff was friendly even with little interaction.

Nice atmosphere for a relaxed lunch. We ordered a set of pasta with mushroom sauce and grilled chicken, the mushroom sauce was delicious and full-bodied and the chicken was perfectly grilled and seasoned. The rice set also had a very pleasant flavor. The service was quick and friendly.

The food was delicious, I ordered Spicy Grilled Saba Set and Grilled Ika Teriyaki. And the drinks, I ordered ice mango yakult milk were refreshing! I didn't have to wait too long for my order. The place was clean, and the service was friendly. The price was totally worth it for the quality and flavor of the food.

We decided to try GyoGyo Japanese Grilled Fish & Sukiyaki at Funan after seeing good reviews, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. The food quality was poor—our unagi bowl was extremely salty, and the miso soup was just as bad. The chicken sukiyaki wasn’t great either. For what we got, the total bill came to just over $60, which didn’t feel worth it at all. On the plus side, service was okay, and there was no wait for a table. However, with so many better options at the same price point in Funan, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Even though we were already quite full, we couldn’t resist ordering more because everything looked so good. We had the sushi tuna floss roll (8 cuts), which was fresh and flavorful, the karubi set, which was incredibly tender and delicious, especially with the free refill of sukiyaki soup, and the ebi furai don, which was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and came with a comforting miso soup.
Despite the restaurant being quite busy during lunchtime, the staff was very friendly, efficient, and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The service was smooth, and the food was served promptly. The quality and portion sizes were great for the price, making it a fantastic value-for-money experience.

Grilled sweet and sour sea bass nice texture and taste slightly charred. White miso grilled halibut lightly flavoured with tender flesh. Set comes with pickles and steamed vegetables both delicious. Overall a good meal for those who enjoy fish.

The food is incredible, super worth.
19.90 for a beef hotpot set.
23.90 for a salmon rice set (comes with miso soup and vegetables)
Service is great, waitresses are helpful.
Would 100% come again!

I would recommend the Beef Sukiyaki from GyoGyo if you're feeling like having a Japanese hotpot ala carte. Portions were generous, with additional ingredients like mushrooms, tofu and some vegetables added inside the pot. Srt also comes with rice, pasteurised egg dip and miso soup. The Sukiyaki soup was also refillable. It was about $19.90 before taxes and I also added additional meat to share with friends at $8.80 per additional serving. Staff was friendly and experience was excellent.

Enjoyed a generous portion of tasty halibut Nabe set which comes with hot Japanese rice, miso soup and simmered vegetables.
A reasonable price for a good serving of halibut and good service!
Thank you 🙏

At this price point, the food is value for money.
The taste was on the stronger side, which I personally like. The udon had a nice chew while the spaghetti was al dente. The fried fish was crispy and flakey and the chicken steak was well seasoned.
Overall, it is a nice place for good selection of affordable food.
