As someone who keeps coming back for their tacos, I couldn’t resist trying Guzman y Gomez’s $19.90 promo for 2 pax – and it didn’t disappoint. For under $20, we got a solid spread: two tacos, a mini burrito, a mini bowl, fries, and two drinks.
The tacos, as always, hit the mark – warm corn tortillas with a crisp bite, generously filled with shredded lettuce, cheese, and juicy beef. The mini bowl was surprisingly satisfying for its size – we picked spicy pork, and it came with fragrant rice, pico de gallo, and corn chips for texture. The burrito was neatly wrapped and packed with flavour. Their seasoned fries were golden and addictive – you’ll find it hard to stop at one.
The setting? Bright, bold, and unmistakably GYG – yellow walls, casual seating, and that signature mural of Guzman and Gomez that brings the brand personality to life. It’s the kind of place where you can linger for a casual lunch or fuel up quickly between errands.
For a quick, value-for-money Mexican meal in a fast-casual setting, this GYG promo is well worth it – especially if you already love their tacos as much as I do.

My to go to place for meal after gym out work. Super yummy guilt free meals. I love the fajitas bowl with grilled chicken. The chicken is so tender and packed with flavour and I love the option of changing the regular rice to brown rice.

Visited Guzman y Gomez at Funan on Thursday, 29 May 2025 (7:13pm)
I usually come here and the service is decent to good, but today’s experience was really jarring and disappointing. A female staff with dyed red hair who took my order and served my food seemed grumpy, unhappy, and had a noticeably bad attitude throughout.
When I ordered, I simply said I didn’t want tomatillo, which is something I always request with no issues. But this time, she responded with, “Oh tomatillo is the sauce. You’re okay with tomato right?” It came across as unnecessarily defensive and condescending. I was taken aback as other staff have always just acknowledged the request without any fuss.
She then handed me my receipt and Milo can with a smug look and actually slammed the Milo can on the counter. Very unprofessional and rude.
Later when serving my food she slammed my burrito bowl down and dropped the fork and spoon. I don’t recall her apologising immediately, and I was too stunned to react or even say anything. After a few seconds she said “uhh I’ll get another one for you”. But she didn’t even bother to pick up the dropped cutlery. From my past F&B experience, if I accidentally drop something I would always pick it up, it’s just basic responsibility and hygiene. Leaving it there was so careless and unprofessional of her.
When I left, I didn’t pick up the dropped cutlery and left it there as is for evidence. I have attached photos of my receipt (with time), the dropped cutlery, and the staff member at the counter for context.
I also want to add that I have worked in F&B before, so I fully understand how tough and demanding the job can be. But that is never an excuse to take out frustration on customers for no reason. If I had behaved like this at my F&B jobs, I would have gotten into serious trouble. Professionalism matters a lot.
Really disappointed, especially since I have never encountered such negative experiences at any Guzman outlet before. All my past experiences here before has always been good. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but the service today was so unacceptable.

I would have given 5 stars but my friend who dined with me noticed after finishing her drink Jarritos, that they don’t recycle the glass bottles.
They should as a company start recycling their Jarritos bottle. It would definitely help since they already serve wooden utensils, biodegradable plates/tubes and sauce cups.
Otherwise. The food was great. Pricy but sometimes worth it. The nacho chips are the pre-made ones so the taste was mediocre. The spicy sauce they offer is so good. I’m considering buy a bottle of it.
The tables sometimes had trash on them. But I blame that on the costumers who don’t clean up after themselves probably.
Will definitely go again and recommend a friend.

It is a nice salad but very basic. Maybe something extra to add on? Would love to try the fries but it looks extremely soggy.

Service could be a lot better; there was not a long queue however order taker was overly anxious & definitely not welcoming at all. Perhaps owner can do mystery visit to check for consistency.
The saving grace was that the Cali Burritos (8.5/10) & chips with guacamole dip (9/10) were very good. The Jarittos Mandarin & Lime flavors were refreshing. Too bad the Strawberry & Grapefruit ones which we originally ordered were out of stock; order taker had to redo our orders 🙄🤔 Negative UX at 6/10.

Was highly recommended by lots of people when asking about where to get Mexican food in Singapore, and was pretty good. It felt pretty expensive for a fast food meal, but I was in the mood for Mexican so was not too bothered. The ingredients tasted pretty fresh and chicken was nicely seasoned. That said, I think the portion size was a bit disappointing as the bowl was mostly rice which wasn’t the most flavourful. The portion of guacamole was very small and I was disappointed considering I paid extra. Having read other reviews I believe this might be an issue specific to this branch. Would also not recommend the lemon iced tea as the cup is very small and cost $2.50. Service was very fast and staff were friendly, so all good on that front. Overall, I’d say good for a Mexican fix, but disappointing portion sizes.

As what you’d expect, great place with my son and his favorite hard shell tacos.

Making a nighttime burrito break after a long walk and found Guzman y Gomez. The menu is straightforward, and there are some veggie friendly options. Tried the mixed vegetable burrito to minimize the cheese. You can order at the counter or online via QR code. The burrito has what I guess can be called a Singaporean flavor. Having tried burritos in America, Mexico, and Japan, the flavor profile didn’t really match any of those. It was an excellent midpoint between all the countries I’ve had burritos in before. The burrito was a bit lighter than America and Mexico, and just a touch more substantial than burritos in Japan. The size of the burrito was also at the same delightful midpoint between all the cultures I’ve tried burritos in before. The mix of guacamole, cheese, rice, salsa, and veggies was excellent, and every bite was delicious. I recommend trying the Jarritos if you want a taste of Mexico with your meal, or if you want the basics, you can get sweet tea or just water. If you want a filling bite, try Guzman y Gomez.
