Bought iced latte to-go using oat milk and “dark matter” beans. The coffee was unexpectedly very strong, had an interesting flavor to it- could taste both the chocolatey and fruity notes at the same time. It was pretty nice. Place is not too spacious as it is combined with a few stores. Can just grab to-go would be better.

Always come for Ice Cappuccino here. Very nice 👍. Get the coffee drips to brew them at home. They have apparels and shower products here. Nice smells and also good clothing selections.

Located within a fashion store, Alchemist has really good coffee! They also have an interesting cascara tea (a coffee cherry tea made from the coffee plant) - super unique and fruity!! Very limited seating but if you ever find yourself in Funan mall and in need of coffee, this place is worth a go!

Professional coffee blend with fruity taste. Average pricing. Their chocolate drink was just okay, milkier than what I expected. Their clothing line store is just inside the store. Great ambiance, good vibe.

Great location at Funan Mall along the North Bridge Road facing the main, the outlet shares the space inside a clothing store named Arcade. There are just 4 mini tables for two pax each along a bench. Not so cozy to spend time considering sitting position or posture, especially if you're on the bigger/taller side, but it’s alright for just a bit of resting your legs. The coffee experience, in general, may vary from time to time — depending on the baristas in charge as well as their quality control across different outlets. That said, I find that their iced white with their Lumos blend is quite pleasant, but I personally prefer the Dark Matter for a more intense coffee flavor to cut through the milk and ice.

Good coffee. Choice of 2 blends or single origins for espresso-based drinks. This regular double shot white (Colombia Veracruz) had prune, chocolate notes. From an earlier order: Pourover: Costa Rica Aquiares Estate Esperanza - strawberry, complex notes. On the outside of Funan, opposite Adelphi, near the corner of North Bridge Rd and Coleman St. A few seats available.

Northbridge Road-facing road level, near the traffic junction of the church, inside a clothing store. Cannot go wrong with Alchemist signature dark roast! 3-4 tables to cop a seat, it’s a nice spot to get your caffeine fix.

Lovely coffee. They have great blends and stick to basics. But they do it VERY well.

I am always in two minds about the OG third-wave coffee chains in Singapore, like Alchemist. By virtue of the fact that they have opened many outlets, quality control — in baristas but also in their beans, since they now presumably have to procure more — is a bit patchier than in their heyday. Generally, though, I find that their iced long black is a safe bet that offers the occasional pleasant surprise. To this end, I’m pretty happy that they rotate their seasonal blends fairly regularly (the Lumos blend was fruity and bright, and I personally prefer it to the Dark Matter)! This is of course not to discount how valuable Alchemist has been in enriching coffee culture in Singapore, and training a generation of coffee professionals who have branched out to do great things! Space-wise, since they’re co-located with a clothes store, there are just 4 or 5 seats along a bench with tiny (and I do mean tiny) tables for your drink and maybe a book. Not somewhere that encourages lingering (or good sitting posture :’)) but it’s alright for a brief sit. If you are in Funan, there are better seats and tables at PPP (which suffers the same problem as Alchemist in terms of consistency), and Tiong Bahru Bakery (where the coffee is meh-er but there’s also more food, yay!).
